1. Enterprise SAS Hard Drives (Performance)

  • 10K & 15K RPM SAS: High rotational speeds deliver low latency. Ideal for OS Boot drives and active databases. Available in 300GB, 600GB, 900GB, and 1.2TB capacities.
  • Interface Speed: We stock both 6Gbps and 12Gbps SAS drives. (Note: 12Gbps drives require a compatible 12G Controller).

2. Large Form Factor (LFF) Capacity Drives

Perfect for "Cold Storage," Video Surveillance (CCTV), and Backup Servers.

  • 7.2K RPM NL-SAS / SATA: These 3.5-inch drives offer massive space (4TB, 8TB, 10TB, 14TB) at the lowest cost per GB.

Buying Guide: Form Factors & Compatibility

Before you buy, check your server chassis to ensure the drive fits:

2.5" SFF vs. 3.5" LFF

  • SFF (Small Form Factor): The 2.5-inch size found in most modern high-density servers (like the Dell R640 or HP DL360).
  • LFF (Large Form Factor): The 3.5-inch size found in storage-focused servers (like the Dell R740xd or HP DL380 LFF models).
  • Warning: You cannot fit a 3.5" drive into a 2.5" slot. However, you can fit a 2.5" drive into a 3.5" slot using a "3.5-inch Hybrid Tray."

Do You Need a Caddy / Tray?

The "Caddy" is the bracket that holds the drive. We sell drives with and without caddies.

  • Dell PowerEdge: 13th/14th Gen servers use the "Hot Swap" caddies.
  • HP ProLiant: Gen8/Gen9/Gen10 servers use "Smart Carrier" caddies.
